Clear, capability-first terms for recruitment and people advisory services Last updated: December 2025

1. Who You’re Working With

Talent Unboxed (“I”, “me”, “Talent Unboxed”) provides capability-based recruitment, assessment, and people advisory services across Ireland, Northern Ireland, the UK, and international markets.

I operate as an independent consultant. Nothing in these terms creates an employment, agency, or joint-venture relationship.

2. Services Provided

Talent Unboxed supports organisations through:

  • Capability-based recruitment
  • Role clarity and capability definition
  • Candidate assessment and shortlisting
  • Leadership and hiring advisory
  • Talent mapping and market insight
  • Interview support

The exact scope of work will be agreed in writing before we begin.

3. How Recruitment Engagements Work

When engaged to support a recruitment process, Talent Unboxed will:

  • Define capability requirements
  • Prepare or refine the role profile
  • Identify, assess, and interview candidates
  • Present shortlisted candidates with evidence-based insights

You remain responsible for:

  • Final hiring decisions
  • Employment contracts
  • Right-to-work checks
  • Payroll, taxes, benefits, and all employer obligations

A candidate is considered referred once their profile, CV, or assessment summary has been submitted. Referred candidates may be considered for any role within your organisation.

4. Fees

Talent Unboxed uses a transparent, capability-aligned fee structure based on HR seniority and market complexity.

HR Role-Based Fees (Base Fees)

  • Junior HR roles: 15%
  • Mid-level HR roles: 17–18%
  • Senior HR roles: 19–20%
  • HR Specialists: 21–22%
  • Executive HR roles: 24–26%

Location Adjustments

  • Ireland & UK: no adjustment
  • EU: +2%
  • US & Canada: +3%
  • LATAM, APAC, Middle East: +3–5%

Fees are invoiced on the candidate’s start date. Payment terms: 14 days. All fees exclude VAT.

5. Replacement Guarantee

If a placed candidate:

  • leaves voluntarily, or
  • is terminated for performance or behavioural reasons

within the first 90 days, Talent Unboxed will provide a one-time replacement search at no additional fee.

This guarantee:

  • does not apply to redundancy, restructuring, or role elimination
  • must be used within 12 months
  • has no cash value

6. Candidate Ownership

If you have already engaged with a candidate within the last 6 months, and notify Talent Unboxed within 5 business days (with evidence), no fee applies.

If you do not notify within this timeframe, the referral will be deemed valid.

7. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep all shared information confidential and use it solely for the purpose of delivering or receiving services.

Candidate information must be handled in accordance with GDPR and used only for legitimate hiring purposes.

8. Data Protection & GDPR

Talent Unboxed complies with EU GDPR, UK GDPR, and all applicable data protection laws.

How data is used

Personal data is processed only for:

  • assessing candidate suitability
  • presenting candidates
  • delivering agreed services
  • fulfilling legal obligations

Your rights

Candidates and clients may request:

  • access
  • correction
  • deletion
  • restriction
  • portability

Requests can be made at any time by contacting Talent Unboxed.

Data retention

Candidate data is retained for up to 24 months, unless required otherwise by law.

9. Intellectual Property

All Talent Unboxed frameworks, capability models, assessments, and materials remain my intellectual property.

You may use deliverables internally but may not reproduce, distribute, or repurpose them externally without written permission.

10. Working Relationship

Talent Unboxed provides capability-based insight and recommendations. You make the final hiring decisions.

I do not provide legal, financial, or regulatory advice.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Talent Unboxed’s liability is limited to the total fees paid for the engagement
  • I am not liable for indirect, consequential, or reputational losses

This is standard for consulting and recruitment services.

12. Term & Termination

These terms apply from the date of engagement and continue until either party ends the relationship in writing.

You will be invoiced for all work completed up to the termination date.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Business are governed by the laws of Republic of Ireland. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of Republic of Ireland.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging Talent Unboxed, verbally, in writing, or by acting on a referral, you agree to these Terms of Business.
